I always like it when a southern conservative smashes all the stereotypes of what a southern conservative should sound like.

The man makes a hell of a lot of sense to me. It drives home the point that the people who are fighting gay marriage seem to have taken it upon themselves to be the moral guardians for the rest of us. I can't think of a single other reason they should be interested.

  • I agree 200% that man talks an awful lot of sense.. I feel the same, it doesn't affect me one way or the other, and it's none of my business. As long as people are happy and can live and let live I'm down with that!

Definitely not bad for a southern conservative.

That has to be the most sensible commentary on the subject I've ever read. (Well, if you count Bill Maher's sly editorial on the subject, the SECOND most sensible.) Now I hope his neighbors haven't decided to throw him a "necktie party"...

If EVERYONE had HIS take on gay marriage this would be a BETTER planet.

The next time one of the Xians on here objects to gay marriage I'm going to tell them that they don't HAVE to get married if they don';t want to.

    :-)

    Peace

He seems a most unusual conservative. I agree with his position completely.

I totally agree with him. He has simplified the issue and spelled it out for what it is, something that is important for the two parties involved, but a non-issue for everyone else.

I agree that other people's marriage won't affect yours

I was surprised to read such liberal views from a conservative so thanks for providing them
