MotoGP Assen?

The best part of the whole race for me was Bautista winning and the first part of the 125cc race, when Smith was leading. Everything was a bit... lets say disappointing. On the whole, it was a good racing day, but it would have been better if Rossi won (that's just because I'm a Rossi fan).

A bit sad for Nicky, for something silly like this to loose his podium...

What are your thoughts on the race today?

    Hey Alex :-)

    I was unlucky enough to miss the 125cc & 250cc,because I thought that race would be tomorrow(on Sunday).I watched Moto GP but I wouldn't call myself fortunate because I couldn't help feeling angry and furious all the time.I also am a Rossi fan but I think that it wouldn't be exaggarated if I say that his performance was the biggest surprise in Assen.I'm still trying to figure out the reason why he finished eleven today after his worst perfornmance in the practices was finishing 6th and had a pole position.Well,probably it is nothing but the cliche that such things happen,even to best ones;((((

    As for Stoner both in Donighton and in Assen he made a successful bid for the world title.Good for him and Ducati.

    Colin Edwards was a nice surprise,that's his second podium this year I think ;-)Regarding Lorenzo he made a good race having in mind his injury.What I couldn't help noticing about him is that when he's healthy he's like a hurricane,hardly stoppable.When he's injured he's always stable,not to say more,but even if he doesn't make a sensation he makes a good race despite the injuries and the pain.

    Pedrosa is the new ranking leader.It seems to be getting more interesting and intersting but I would prefer it if Vale gets his 1st position back(if only that depended on what I wish for......)

    Source(s): it was a very close chase.The time difference between the 1st one and the 12th one is less than a second.I know that a second is a lot of time on motorsports but still...12 bikes finishing within a second is not somethinfg we often see...even in Moto GP :-)

    Hi A.Nik, I too was pleased to see Bautista get a win. I think he will get a few more.

    Rossi making a mistake (how rare is that) but it shows how little it takes to throw a chance of winning away.

    As for stoners win 30seconds faster than last yr is impressive in anyones book. I like a good close race but I can also appreciate a guy who laps consistently like Stoner seems to be able to do. I have said it before "Rolex timing" the guy is like clockwork.

    I felt sorry for Hayden I thought he was going to beat Pedrossa but he went as fast as the fuel would allow. and HRC almost got that perfect, down to the last corner. it shows how good the techs are. The way things are going Pedrossa could steal the championship from under both Rossi and Stoner. Nicky Hayden proved its consistency that wins championships. I dont want to leave Dovi out. you have to remember he is on inferior machinery to almost the whole field. that impresses me.

    Well superbikes tomorrow British and world. its a good weekend. beer time.

    the 250 race was full of excitement. the battle for 3rd was great with 5 riders all swapping positions. even bautista and luthi swapped positions, after everyone thought bautista was going to run away with it after seeing his pace mid-race.

    i love seeing the agressive racing in this class, makes for great entertainment.

    what was hector barber's problem though? it looked like he was still getting use to the track change...he ought to be more cautios when entering back on the track.

    I can't tell you just how GUTTED I am

    that my man Rossi landed on his a*se

    (and so I cried !!) - But gotta give it to him,

    he did not wanna let go of that bike !!

    I'm pleased for Mr Edwards - what a fluke !

    And I'm sorry to have to say it - as it's not

    'Hasbeen Hayden's' fault - but are these

    guy's amateurs or someink ??? Fancy

    allowing something so 'minor' to take away

    your podium.

    I didn't think that Hayden stood a chance

    catching Pedrobot (with or without the new

    engine) but clearly Assen is a track suited

    to him.

    SOoooooo all said and done - not too much

    damage, 4 points in favour of Pedrobot &

    still 25/29 Stoner - I ain't gonna hang myself.

    ~~~ Today, anyway ~~~ - XxX -
    For me great to see Stoner get home. Rossi got a bit anxious and took out Randy out but Pedrosa has set his season up well. He's pretty steady and if other boys get too excited then he might steal it :-(
