What happens if I submitted my application for my residency status late?
I actually didn't submit it late, but there was a minor thing with a detail and they sent my application back requestion that thing. So when I sent it back it was already late and now they are calling me to appear to court. Has anyone experienced this? Will I be able to resolve this. Is deportation possible?
I live in LA California...
I actually did all the paperwork and all that stuff for my green card renewal and I also sent the fee, but apparently by the time I sent the fee, there was a change in the pricing or some other rules, so that's why it's delayed. I just don't know why ther're calling me to court..

don't worry, as long as the first time you sent it was before your visa expired you are safe even if you had to re-submit or whatever

if the first time you sent the paper work was in time .the date they received is the date they go by even if you are missing papers.dont worry if the fee change they will request for you to pay the difference and what ever you are missing they will ask for .the most important thing is that you send the original application within the deadline as long as it was postmarked by that date you are fine.

If you filed on time and they kicked it back for more info/corrections you should be okay.
Exactly what did you file?
