How can I keep a tom cat away from our house?
I have 4 cats, 2 were mine and 2 my partners, we then moved in together so we have 4. We keep them in the kitchen at night and back utility room, but we have a cat flap so they can go in and out for a tiddle. BUT! we keep getting a un neutered tom cat keep coming in and spaying in our kitchen! We tried spraying him with water, but he just don't care! our cats have been done, but he still comes in what can i do to stop him? We don't want to lock the cats in or out overnight. Please someone help, I'm at my wits end with this CAT!!

If your friend "Tom" does not have a family, have you considered having him neutered and joining your family? He seems happy at your home! If "Tom" does have a family, you might suggest neutering. However, cats legally can roam free and little can be done to stop them.
The only other solution is for you to close the cat flap permanently.

I think you should get rid of the cat door! That's the only way the tom cat will stop coming in your kitchen. I have cats and we let them out ourselves, somtimes they stay out all night or all day. We have tons of cars in our yard so they have a place to hide or stay when they are our in storms or for a long time.

I think your best bet is to just trap him and have him neutered. You may have to shell out a couple bucks, but it will save everyone alot of aggravation in the long run. He won't be going around getting any loose females pregnant so less unwanted kittens to be born. Plus it will pretty much teach him 'he, you come in my house i chop your nuts off!'

trap him and neuter him the most local spca s can neuter for
10.00 the only difference they nip a ear depending on the sex then give him a home it is evident that he is happy with you and your 4 if you bring him to the spca to keep they may put him down

speak with the cat's owner if you know them. if not, sprinkle a little bit of vinegar on your lawn. he might stay away, ive heard this works but im not positve. try it anyway .
