What do you think of my babies???
I just adore the "what do you think of my dog/cat?" questions. I think it is sweet that people want to show off their animals and well I LOVE showing off my babies. So I figured I would ask one of the "What do you think of my dog/cat?" questions in hopes of showing off my 3 babies.
First we have Zoe. She is a 7 year old dobberman/lab mix and she is just a wonderful dog, sweet, smart and well behaved (when she wants to be)

Then there are the boys and my pride and joys. First there is Jabba the Cat, Jabba for short. He is a 6 year old male who we saved from a shelter, had been there 3 years before we adopted him.

Then there is the baby of the group, H.Solo, Solo for short. He was adopted from the same shelter and is just a wonderful boy, although he does have a hair pulling problem.
And for those of you who notice their claws, those are soft claws.
The boys do pick on Zoe, but she knows that she can go outside and they cant. So she taunts them with that.
As for the colors of soft claws, they match their colars and their bowls. Lol, obsessive. I have different colors for them so we know who has lost one when we find them. And they do work wonders, Jabba didn't like them at first and still really doesnt. But solo, first thing we did when we brought him home was put them on him, so he was more worried about a new house than the claws and so he has never bothered them.
For those of you who don't know about soft claws. They are silicone (plastic) caps that you glue onto the cats claws. They don't hurt they cat and are a much better alternative to declawing. They come in many different colors to include clear. You just trim the cats nail and then put the glue filled cap onto the nail and there it stays until the cat sheds the outside layer of their nail.
They aren't expensive, they come in a box of 40 with a price of anywhere from $15 to $20 depending on where you get them and a box lasts me awhile. They say a box should last 3-4 months. I get mine from www.safepetproducts.com
They really are a wonderful product and don't hurt the cat...I hope this informed those of you who don't know what they are. And they are extremely easy to do yourself.

I adore your babies!! Oh my, they all look so happy and most importantly of all, healthy!! Zoe seems to be doing well, being the only dog among two boy cats. Bet she thinks that she could teach them boys a few things but have your boys turn on her instead!
You are such a good momma!! Yes, you are. Look at their colorful soft paws. I am so happy that you've chosen to use them instead of that awful awful mutilation. See, cat's do well with soft paws and both Jabba and Solo are the picture of pure bliss! Hehe..I wonder if their pride is a little shaken off with those colorful nail caps. Jabba should be ok with his blues but oh Solo is red hot!! Haha .. nice, very nice and it's so striking against his white fur. Mmm...
My, they are big boys too! And momma's boys nonetheless. I think you have a really happy family there and my heart is truly filled with joy for you and your babies.
Hmm.. I think you should add a little details about what soft paws are for people who doesn't know and think that you are torturing them with painted toes! Some people really knows very little about other options other than declawing. Sad, but very true.
Edit : Hahahahaha...look at that one person, claiming to be a vet of 10 years and know nothing about soft claws. Woohooo!! Way to go 10 years vet veteran.
This is a lesson to all who think that there are valid vets around here. I personally only know 2 vets here and they give excellent advice. They aren't here that much because they do have a job to do and a clinic to run. And you should stop pretending. It makes you look like a real Idiot with a long long nose.
Edit 2 : Do Jabba and Solo always sleep that way? They are too cute and so much like a baby!!! No wonder you love them so much. Do they sleep with you at night or do they have their own favorite place to sleep? I think you really should use Jabba and Solo as prime example for people who are thinking about declawing. If you see any declawing questions around here, bring Jabba and Solo up, show them their pictures. I am sure this will melt hearts and help make cat owners think hard about the surgery.
Once again, I am so PROUD of you!!!

I love the markings on the striped cat and yes I did notice the claws. I have heard different stories on how well the soft paws work, some like them and some don't. The white one with the beige markings is also very pretty too. Aw, your baby pooch looks like he's sad!

Aww, so cute, what are soft claws made of and what are they for? You don't have to reply, just interested. I have a 1 year old cat, female, tabby, called Toto (from the big cat diaries)
and she had a litter of kittens, all survived but we gave 3 away so kept the runt of the litter male, black (slightly brownish in the sun) Scuffy (not scruffy, scuffy)
