Sprayguns next to the toilet?

Was anyone else curious about these the first time you were in Thailand?

Have you taken to using them?

After I found out that they weren't for doing the dishes, it did take some time to figure out how to use them. It's not like they come with instructions or you want to have somebody show you how they're used, but I finally figured out how to use them (I think), and now couldn't live without them. Plus it sure saves on TP.

When I am in a very cheap hotel I poor bleach over the toilet seat, handles, sinks, shower area and tile walls along with soap powder and then use the hose to spray everything down! Kinda makes the toilet area in a cheap place a little more sanitary.

It doesn't need a rocket scientist to figure out roughly why those little showerheads are there.

After one or two visits I came to prefer it much over paper. In fact, if I travel to the west, I find toilets horribly dirty without them...

They're replacements for toilet paper, Thai's think that if you put toilet paper in the toilet it will back up.
