Windows XP reinstall did not ask for key???

I ran DBAN on my computer today, which I have done before in the past, however this time when I reinstalled my Windows XP Home Edition it did not require the key. I was just wondering why....

Update:

......The XP disc came with my computer from Dell and it has prompt me for a key everytime except for this last time

Contact microsoft for a solution. On the XP box or maybe on the disk there should be a number to call them in case you suspect this is a "fake" version of windows. Call them anyways and they will help you
