  • Laundry Soap Recipe question?

I started making my own household product recipes about a month ago. Not to be cheap (that part was the bonus!) but because it's something I have wanted to try for some time now.

And I am having a blast!

However I do have a question for those that make their own laundry detergent.

On the Duggars website (if you're into homemade recipes then hopefully you've come across their recipes & know what I'm talking about) they have recipes for both powdered and liquid detergents.

Both recipes call for the same amount of ingredients, except for the water part of course. However the powdered recipe makes fewer laundry loads than the liquid one.

    Can someone please explain why?

I'm new to this homemade recipe stuff & any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)

So far I now make my own All Purpose Household Cleaner as well as a Carpet Steam Cleaning Formula and am totally hooked! Please share ;)

Here's the site, soap recipes are about half way down.

  • Personal Recipe app for Android?

I'm looking for an app so I can store my own recipes. Right now I am using My Cookbook, which I really like but find it a bit complicated to import my own recipes with the way they have it set up. I am pretty computer savvy so if anyone knows an easy way to import to My Cookbook, or knows of a good recipe app that lets you store your personal recipes, please let me know!

  • xbox 360 Call of Duty:World at War?

Ok, so my son was playing Call of Duty: World at War on his XBOX 360. Apparently the host was a "moder" (no clue if I am saying it right), and when he left the room my son was forced out of the lobby. He is still at the same level however is now negative over a billion points. And on the "match playlist" where it says unlock at level one, it is no longer accessible even though he is/was at level 29. So now he can only play the game offline. Any ideas? Is there anything that can be done? Thanks!

  • XBOX 360 points for son.?

Ok, so my son has a Windows ID for his XBOX 360. He wants points for it but I won't do it under his name (with a credit card that is) which means I have to create my own Windows ID, that's all fine and dandy. But if I add the points under my ID/profile (whatever), will he have to log on with my name to use them? Not sure how it works, poor mom (that's me) just doesn't want to "affect" his gaming in anyway. Or does he just need to get his own darn points card from the store and do it that way? Does it matter? :)

  • LG Optimus V apps question?

New android phone, still learning, so bare with me please. My apps are constantly running. I have used an app killer but once you open the app killer up again it seems like it always has more apps to kill and usually of the same ones that were just killed. I understand that certain actions while using the phone will cause some applications to start automatically, that's fine. But is there a way to actually stop the apps from starting without you specifically turning them on yourself? Even when I go into settings and "forcefully" turn the app off it still pops back on.

OR is that why with the app killer you have the option to put a timer on the "app killer"? And if so what should the frequency be, every 5 minutes, every hour, etc?

    Thanks!

  • Epson ink from ccs-digital.com/?

It's time to buy ink for my Epson Workforce 500. I have come across the site http://ccs-digital.com/ and would like to hear comments from actual customers. I have read comments posted on the site itself however I like to find reviews that are posted else where for peace of mind before ordering products as a first time customer.

I have reviewed the site and am aware of what they have to offer. So if you could just give me some input I would really appreciate it... Thanks!

  • Managing Internet Explorer add-ons?

Alrighty, I am managing some add-ons.

Under "Toolbars and Extensions", Show:"Run without permission"

Quite a few XML names show up and what I'd like to know is if I have XML HTTP 6.0 do I need to keep XML HTTP 3.0 & 4.0 ? Same question for the "XSL Template-4.0 & 6.0" and the "XML DOM Document, 3-4 & 6.0" I'm not familiar with these so if u can't leave a quick answer/response, a link would be just as appreciated. Thanks...

  • 2 nameless movies from 80's Help me name 2 movies I watched as kid in 80’s.I only membr fragments so bare w/me?

1st movie Might’ve been old horror movie. People gather @ house on a hill. I remember seeing a car driving along side of the mountain to get there. Might’ve been a pool scene with a woman swimming late at night & some1 turned on the pool cover while she was underwater trapping her letting her drown. Another scene with some1 bed bound, perhaps ill. There's a room divider/curtain up so u cant c who's on other side, think it was an older ill person.Plus I think there might’ve been something bout a ring.Maybe it was on his/her hand and it was scene when they grabbed one of the visitors arm.??

2nd movie: Jane Doe/Buried Alive movie.some1(kid maybe) walking in woods & finds a hand coming out of ground. lady buried alive, becomes Jane Doe & some guy(cop?) takes care of her & investigates.

That’s all I got. Please give me some titles if u can & I’ll check em out.1st right title/or 1 to lead me in right direction gets the points…thnks

  • DVD picture burning resolution/etc. help?

When scanning photos I have the option to change resolution/target size/compression levels and so on. I’d just like some advice on what qualities to choose.

I am making discs of old family pics for keepsakes.I’d like a general reference on photo scan options that way the pics look decent. I do understand the basics:

    Dpi-High number, high quality.

    Compression-high number, low quality

    Higher quality, bigger file size.

So if you could help me w/ a guideline I would appreciate it, thanks.

I’m using Epson workforce 500 scanner and Adobe Photoshop incase you have any suggestions or tips. Thnx

  • For Crocheters who CHOOSE TO KNOT...how do you knot your work? Which knots work for you, which knots do not?

I know a lot of crocheters and knitters are against knotting their work and that is fine. I don't always knot myself however when I need to I would like to know what knots work best.

Square knots are nice and less bulky however I am not having any luck with them. I have also tried the surgeons knot (basically the same, I know) but I need something...else.

    Thanks

  • SpongeBob blanket (crochet). How would you personally go about changing colors for the details?

For a SpongeBob project: colors yellow, brown, and white shouldn't be a problem changing. But when it comes to the black for the eyes(amongst other colors), there are some rows where you only need one and two stitches of certain colors.

I'm just wondering how you personally would do it?

I dont want the back to look messy in places where the colors are changed/carried over.

    Thanks !

Has anyone tried Metroid, Double Dragon, Super Mario Bros(the original) or Galaga?

Those were fun when I was a kid, would like to know how they are with the Wii.

    Thanks!
