I feel what you are going through. I have felt the same way. However, I have found that being young and not dating does not mean you will be alone forever.
I began dating when I was 18. Before that I was overlooked by guys at all events. I thought I was ugly. Then before going to college I worked on my confidence. I read many and many books to help boost it. The first year of college I was dating the cutest boy in town and he was also the smartest boy. He came to me and ignored all the girls. I was in heaven.
Eventually, I came to realize that men do not love women actively looking for men. They love women who love themselves. Not selfishly, but women who have a sense of who they want to be, what they look like, and how kind they are. When they find this kind of woman, they will move mountains to be with her.
So love yourself beyond words. Treat yourself like your own baby. Educate yourself well. Spend time looking attractive to you, not to please others. Spend time building your confidence, hobbies, and social skills by talking to strangers and making them your friends. Begin to love yourself a lot. Smile. Dance. Take pleasure in being God's gift to the earth. God does not create junk. Then when you're busy loving yourself a smart hot dude will take notice and will want to be in your presence and will ask you out.
Be proud in being you for yourself!
