You just had a double bypass..... Are you doing cardiac rehab? If not, ask your doctor to give you a referral. It is so important! In the beginning you are going to be very tired. You need to do little bits of activity throughout the day. Don't over do it. This will make you more tired and unable to do the little that you need to do. Cardiac rehab monitors you as you begin becoming active again. That is the safest way to begin getting better and making healthy choices permanent in your life.
Good luck!

Yes, this is normal. The doctor should have referred you to a local cardiac rehab center, where you began the formal process of recovery- not from surgery but from the disease that had almost taken your life. Today, heart-attack or coronary-bypass patients typically remain in the hospital for only about five days; patients who undergo angioplasty, or use of a tiny balloon to open a blocked coronary artery, are out in a day. And good luck.
