he doesn't mean literally almost all of the bible is a metaphor but there r some ppl who like to take it completely literally but what he means is if u have faith and trust in god u will never die u will live on in his image forever and if u do follow Jesus' teachings then u prbly won't be alone when u die and those ppl and there kin will never forget u and u a little piece of u will still be around for the rest of history in ur decedents

When he says never die he means our soul will never have to endure the lake of fire. Everyones body eventually dies, but if we believe we shall conquer the second death and be rewarded with eternal life.

Your quoting Jesus the one who has brought our world to where it is through His teachings, even though the teachings are not very well understood. He tells us He is the Son of man and the Son of God so of course if you accept this he would be the path to eternal life for those who choose to follow Him through His teachings. I for one follow Him as He is understood by me and I feel assured of life eternal. i would hope others would choose this as well.

I don't think that any of us ever really dies, we only change. The only mortal aspect of us are our physical bodies and that is the only part that dies.
