Injured shoulder 15 years ago and it hurt for a year and then got better. now the pain is back DR says rotor

cuff. I have not had a new injury so how can it be rotator cuff?

Update:

MD is going to put me in therpy before a MRI. Will therpy help a torn totator cuff?

    Rotator cuff tears are most common in people who are over the age of 40. Younger people tend to have rotator cuff tears following acute trauma or repetitive overhead work or sports activity.

    Rotator cuff tear may often happen as a result of wear and tear.

    It could be many things, for example just lifting something wrong with your shoulder could set it off, also if you didn't catch the injury in the beginning and it was the rotator cuff and you set if off the pain will return. use ice

    did you have surgery? because i heard about a medication that was givin to people after shoulder surgery to help the pain but it the long term effects are horrible it distroys the joints makeing your bones rub against each oher causing incredible pain sadly theres no way of fixing the harm done ..hope you feel better

    for me the old injury turned into arthritis ,and flairs up if I over work it.

    there is a vitamin for this at wal-mart.
