How do I stop my cat from having diarrhea and use the litter box?
My cat has been going to the bathroom out of the litter box. He also has been having diarrhea that has fur in it. It is not a fur ball or vomit. The litter box is clean and I used to use a litter box liner and I took it out and my cat still didn't use the litter box. I have read in a book that if you get peppermint tea and a little bit of billberries mashed from a mortar it will stop the cat from having diarrhea. Does this work? Is there any other home remedies for my cat? Thanx!
My cat's litter box is all clean with no other cats using it. 2 days ago I saw the litter digged up but when I went to scoop it there was nothing there! Plus I keep my cat safely in the garage at night so he couldn't have not been able to make it. The garage is not that big. Well, Thanx again. PLEASE MORE ANSWERS!
Oh yeah and I feed my cat Naturals by Purina which is a really good brand.

I have had several kittens with chronic diarrhea. As for going outside te box, she is probably just not making it to the box in time, so first put a few more boxes around the house for him to easily access. She may be avoiding it because it smells bad, or she is avoiding another cat who uses it.
Try Dr. Elsey's cat attract litter--it works amazingly! Also, to stop the cycle of diarrhea, I used to feed my kitten a blended combination of sweet potato and cooked chicken (make sure it hasn't been pre-cooked with salt or anything, just plain chicken). Wait til kitty is solid for a good week or two and then slowly reintroduce their regular food. It may also be the food you are using--make sure it is a high quality food, like Iams or Science Diet, and try using the sensitive stomach version of the food. Last thing, if there are other symptoms or if she doesn't get better soon, definitely take her to the vet in case it's something serious.

a cat having the runs is not good. the cat could have a parasite in its stool. i would get that checked out. you need to be careful on what natural remedy you do for your cat. my answer is book a appointment with the vet and see why the cat has the problem.
