Yep. It's happened before. I asked a question and got an answer other than what I thought was right. I did some further research and it turns out that the guy (on the other end of the political spectrum) had it right. I changed my opinion and gave him "best answer".

The thing to do is make sure your answers are well thought out and not just a rant.

    Don't insult the person.

    Provide a link if possible.

All these things make it more likely that you can sway someone with YOUR opinion.

    Have fun

Sure. You would have to be either a fool or close minded to say no. Granted there are alot of lies and misinformation posted here, but every now and again, someone posts a question or answer with sources, which contains information I was previously unaware of. In those instances, I examine how this new information applies to the issue and my views change accordingly.

Sure...if someone makes a good point and backs it with facts I always consider what they say.

I might not make a 180 right at that very moment but it has an effect.

In the end the truth is the truth.

    What is right is right.

Sometimes I find out that I don't have all of the facts, and I change my mind (eventually).

Unlike SOME people, Rush doesn't issue me an opinion. I develop my own.

I read some interesting things on Y!A, but they are often few and far between ... and my opinions are always open to interpretation and modification ... my opinions change as the world around me changes

it's only the morals that my parents taught me that stay the same

Best question of the night! Actually much of what we encounter here is rant, and has very little to do with resolving issues. Every once in awhile someone makes me think, and it is refreshing. I heard from someone once that if a majority of the populous voted "none of the above" that we could force a redo. Would be nice if it were true.

Nothing could change my opinion about the Messiah Barack Obama. Did so much research on this man and it scares me what I found out about this phony.

Others might vote for him because they don't have any pie because they are too freaking lazy to get a job so Obama wishes to help these people by stealing my pie.

In other words the man wants me to share my hard earned income with other folks.

    Keep Change.

my first thoughts were, of course i am a reasonable person who like to deal in facts but upon more reflection, i have to honestly say no, it couldn't.

i have done my own research and delved into each candidates, their backgrounds, their associations, their purposed plans and how they handle themselves with the public at large. their voting records, any bills they have introduced and what they hope to accomplish with them.

i know that facts can be found to support one's thesis but after spending time and much effort, i know who i think will best represent the majority of my views and i will vote for him.

i have been voting since 1961 and i have never agreed with any candidate 100 percent and i am very suspicious of those who do.

Maybe. But it has confirmed my original choices.

When it comes to politics, I like to research my questions and use several outlets for information. Yahoo is just one of them.

Far rightest and Obama-bashers have confirmed that the right is by far not always right... That even though the left may be a group of dreamers, their minds are seeking logic... Where as the Obama-bashers just want spell out endless forms of propaganda, when everything is said and done, it becomes clear who the true haters of the American way are...
