I want to go to a college that's really close to the ocean...

... like within walking distance. Any suggestions?

Update:

I do have some a lot of other requirements, but right now I'm just trying to make a list... a long, generalized list. So suggest whatever you want...

Several suggestions, all in California and with rather rigorous admissions requirements: UC San Diego (its oceanography program is right on the water), UC Santa Cruz, and UC Santa Barbara. Not on the ocean but on salt water, Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington is adjacent to Puget Sound, and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver has a lovely campus with beaches on Georgia Strait. Lester Pearson College on Vancouver Island in BC is adjacent to the Pacifc Ocean.

Well, there are tons of schools that meet that criteria. I assume you are looking for a university over a state school. I really don't know which coast you intend to live on. Is the beach the only requirement? or is nice weather necessary? Does the size of city matter? I can think of lots of schools that are right next to beaches, but I am going to go out on a limb and make some assumptions and recommend UC San Diego.

I think the College of Charleston in SC would fit that description.

The ultimate would be Pepperdine in Malibu. USF, UCSB, work.
