Should atheists have a symbol to denote their beliefs?

Symbols are everywhere particularly in the area of religious beliefs and basically act as badges of membership. Is it time atheists had a symbol we could hang on the wall or on a necklace or something? I promise this is a serious question. I was reading the question about being an atheist in Texas and one answerer referred to christians hanging symbols in their office cubicles. Do we need an atheist symbol of solidarity or so we can recognise each other? If you think we should then what would a good symbol be? NOT an upside-down cross thank you. And preferably not one that has been taken like the cannabis leaf.

Update:

Edit: How about a What Would Dawkins Do wristband?

Update 2:

Wow, I jut found this, ever atheist symbol you could need! http://homepage.mac.com/lpetrich/Pix/NumberedAthei...

The picture of the pink invisible unicorn and the one of the Flying Spaghetti Monster are often used as symbols of atheism. They are the deities of parodies to religion. However, the unicorn is unknown for most people (and also so girly) and the Flying Spaghetti Monster is now a so known (isn't this a paradox?) as an Internet Mode. I think that the best option is the most simple Nietzsche photograph with the text "God is dead"

No, we're not a group, just people who have 1 idea in specific in common. Don't associate us with religious groups. A symbol is not needed.

My personal atheist symbol is the smiley face flipping a bird.

It's hard to come up with a symbol for a group whose defining characterisic is non-interest in something.

    You already do...

Why would you want one anyway though? I thought atheists don't think atheism is a religion. So why would you need a symbol?

    Sure.

A simple necklace chin with nothing on it.

    In other words...no symbolic pendent.

If we did, it should probably be something along the line of this:

How about the mark of the beast.... seems pretty appropriate under the circumstances don't you think.

    How about a lobotomized believer?
