If a graphics card gets fried, would that prevent me from being able to see it?

    if the GPU shorts the computer is isn't going to start till its removed but yes you could still remote into it as long as there is a integrated video card

    You would rather smell it first. If you don't smell anything, then it's probably another error. For example, the power cord of the monitor isn't plugged in.

    Source(s): Usually, when video card problems occur, you'd see strange flickerings on the screen first. It may be that your cooling vent is dusty. If that's the case, i advise you to clean up the dust from the cooling vents with a vacuum cleaner. Careful no to damage any electronics.

    yeah u wouldnt b able to see anything at all. ur monitor would b black.
