best weight loss diet for diabetics?

I've just been diagnosed. I need to lose weight. I've done Weight Watchers before, and Nutrisystem. Which one would be best for a diabetic?

I was diagnosed about a year ago. I lost nearly 25 pounds in the first 2 months, without an actual diet. I am nearly 45 pounds less now. All I do is watch my carb intake, and stay lower than what the dietician gave me for max per meal. no sodas, they are full of sugar and calories. I am diet controlled and its tough but I stay within range except an occasional.

Nutrisystem is the best for a diabetic because they give you the food to eat, and you have all of the nutrition facts. Be sure to monitor you blood sugars very closely when starting a diet, since they can have a major effect on your weight loss goals. Good luck!

two diets, same results: classical diabetic diet your doctors will probably mention - it can be organized as low calorie diet that keeps you sugar level where it should be, and slowly put your weight down. also, which i would strongly recommend, the zone. it keeps your sugar in just the right and stable zone, and you lose weight. just be careful not to lose weight to fast, diabetes is not an illness that can tolerate that.

Weight Watchers Core Plan or the South Beach Diet are both very popular and realistic. Weight Watchers Flex can be a bit high in carbs depending how you work it, and so can Nutrisystem.

You might want to check out this blog. They just started it but there is a store and they update the content regularly. Maybe you are able to find some programs through the store to help you with your weight loss problem. Good luck!
