The Democrats are selling the future. The Republicans want to sell the past. Which sounds safer, more prosperous and fair to you? If you are poor now, maybe the Dems sound good. Why not talk about issues rather than speak in generalities. The Democrats basically want more socialism. The Republicans tend to want less governement, and control spending. The current president has little to do with our economy, or anything else especially if an opposing party runs congress. Politicians can slowly erode or economy then blame it on the current President. The economy and foreign policy we have now are the result of good and bad decisions from both parties. They both are basically corrupt. Mc Cain is a Washington insider who wants to appeal to the middle. He has no real backbone. Obama is a naive dup of left wing radical groups trying to look more mainstream, but he's the same old slick politician. Don't trust politicians. Raise awareness of issues that really matter, not spotted owls, and pseudo science. If you want less change, then vote for Mc Cain, but there still will be change usually for the worst, because politicans are afraid to stand up against socialism which has taken over 90 percent of our policies. Why vote for a left wing president when in Europe gas prices are $10.00 a gallon, not because of the greedy oil traders, but because of taxes that should go towards improving the highways, and streets.

Well that's how they trap there voters by false promises they start out pessimistic stating the country is falling apart and only the democratic party knows how to put it back together yet they don't tell what changes they are and how they'll fix it. They have no plan but to blame Bush and associate McCain with him. No one has got up and really bad mouth McCain they know he is the right man. I believe all their speeches tell you that. I truly believe the people in his own camp do not have confidence in Obama as leader and most of this is on record. I guess we will wait for McCain's pick for V.P. and the convention so we can elect a real man to be president or should I say the right man! They keep associating 9/11 with Bush yet I remember the president at the time was a democrat named Clinton. They also say they don't agree with McCain's health care policy yet socialize medicine is a joke it does not work in Europe why are they so sure it will work for America and again who will pay for it? You know and I know it will be the middle class and the poverty bill alone will put the U.S. in turmoil! I see nothing exciting about Obama I don't know why people could vote for this nobody! The dems will trot out the poor, the underprivileged, those afflicted with disease, women that feel oppressed, and minorities, hearts will be bleeding all over the place. They will promise a government program, subsidy, or stimulus package to address ALL of societies ills using OUR tax dollars! This my friends is the essence of socialism.
The New Deal and the Great Society never worked despite throwing huge amounts of money (tax dollars) into the social programs. Isn't there an old saying about the definition of insanity being doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?

Republicans think all is bad when Democrats are in power. It's all partisan politics. Get an independent perspective and stop buying into all the right-wing bs.

They train those who are susceptible to thinking negatively, that everyone is a victim of something. They promise to be the champions of the victims and the victims (as they grow to see themselves) support Democrats because Democrats validate, feed, perpetuate and then capitalize upon these feelings of victimhood. Teaching people to feel that they are powerless is what funds the wealth of the DNC.

Have you looked around lately? Hasn't been this bad in many years, and I've been around for 4 decades of presidents. The Bush administration has been the worst presidency, possibly shy of Carter, this country has ever had the misfortune of seeing.
Things are bad dude. And if snake oil will run my car and costs less than $4 per gallon, sure you can sell me some.

If you repeat the same old crap over and over and over again, get the news media to hype your line of bull, sooner or later you will have a long line of imbeciles that are willing to believe it. It's called propaganda and it worked very well for leaders in the past, and it evidently still has the power to persuade those that do little thinking for themselves.

Democrats (liberals) hate America and her values of honor and courage. They would rather blame America for everything under the sun and yet they enjoy her freedoms. Sadly, they haven't figured out that once you leave our shores and go abroad you will find in every country, and I mean every country, people are trying to move here, not visa versa. Which blows a big hole in that "intellectual brain" of theirs.

Republicans wrap themselves in the flag and speak of America as if they were the sole proprietors.
So they dismiss any criticism of themselves as "criticism of America."
It's a defense mechanism. Much easier than say, defending their positions.
