How could anybody not want these dogs?

If I had all the money in the world, I'd fly out and get Brie right now...but how could I leave the others behind?

Unfortunately, this is a scenario that is repeated over & over again each day across America. There are rescue shelters begging fort good owners for hapless animals. This is one reason I speak out so much about the stupid backyard and unskilled breeders that just want to try their hand at breeding and get a puppy from their pooch. We are so overpopulated with dogs and cats that an abundant supply of animals could be found for years even if "controlled" breeding stopped. These dogs are also examples of why you should have your pet spayed or neutered, and just enjoy having a loyal pet, rather than adding unwanted pups to the eventual "kill" list. Do the right things

    1) If you want a dog, ADOPT! rather than pay outrageous prices to breeders or pet stores who by and large, offer inferior pets for big money

    2) If you own a pet, have it "fixed"

    3) Educate yourself in the care and handling and training of dogs.

    4) Give dogs already existing a chance at life!

I agree with you - I have a hard time going into shelters and only taking one dog.

If I won the lottery I would have a farm to take in dogs from shelters that are scheduled to be euthanized because they haven't been adopted and give them a second chance to be adopted.

I know a lot of rescues already do it, but there just aren't enough out there - and definitely not enough that will take in any kind of dogs.

God, just looking at those pictures makes me want to cry.

There's a lifetime of love waiting there for someone...

"This animal is scheduled to be unavailable

    after 4:30 pm on September 3, 2008."

I don't like how they sugar coatd that. They're going to kill the dogs, it's not like they suddenly go to some happy magical home.

Anyway, it's sickening. I've been so upset the last couple days just thinking about it.

I feel so angry about the people who bred these poor unfortunate animals and I hate them and I hate the people who took them on as puppies and then just abandoned them.

Alot of people ask questions on Y!A about what is wrong with breeding cross breed puppies. Well here is your answer - check out the links - these are "dead dogs walking" thanks to those irresponsible uncaring mongrels who let their dog have a litter of puppies with the mutt down the road. I hate them all and wish nothing but bad things for them in their pathetic cruel lives.

    awwww i like chaplin!

i know how you feel im going to be broke. i just adopted a teacup maltipoo from the shelter and im going to adopt a teacup poodle there in 2 weeks!

im going on a dog spending spree! i wish i could save them all! i vollunteer and i am paying a big bonus to my shelter so they can buy new cages and food and such so they can keep the dogs until they have new homes.

And in British Columbia/Canada it is my opinion that there is a shortage of adoptable dogs. Can your believe it?

I think Chaplin is very cute but the rest of them are just boring and plain. Sorry if you really like them, that's just my opinion.
