I got hair dye (dark brown) out of my bathroom carpet by blotting it up with a damp sponge then spraying it with hydrogen peroxide. I left the peroxide on for 10-15 mins then blotted up, and repeated. I then put the carpet in the wash (it was a throw carpet) and it came out perfectly clean. This was a 100% cotton rug. It should be easier to get the stain out of manmade fibers. Good luck!

Hair dye is dye, meaning that the color has actually changed. The original color is not there anymore. So there is no getting it out. You might be able to fade it with rug cleaner but it will never be the same color as it was.
