EMERGENCY KITTEN QUESTION. PLEASE READ.?
Ok, so it is 11:53 pm and I am tired. But when my older bro came inside the house, the momma cat ran outside. The kittens are about a week old. they just opened their eyes yesterday. Everybody is going to sleep and nobody will be able to let the the momma cat back in until morning. I don't think the kittens will be able to not eat for that long. Help?
I'm 14 years old. I can't go out and buy kitten milk. did i mention it's 12:01? I can't put the kittens outside, there are outside critters that will get to them or theyll climb out and hurt themselves.
I don't know where the mother is, she took off into a neighbor's yard.
Ok, thank you all for your answers! I did wait until 3:00 am. 0_0 when she decided to come back in. The kittens are happy now. :D

Do NOT put the kittens outside. They could be eaten by a predator or more likely, the mother will hide them.
Go to be and set your alarm for 2 to 3 hours from now. Get up and call for mama. she will likely come in. post again to tell us what happened.

The suggestion of luring the cat home with tuna or some fish like food, is a good one. If that isn’t an option the best alternative is that someone tend the kittens ensuring they are warm and tended until the mother returns.
I’m assuming you aren’t the adult in the household and this limits your options. The kittens won’t starve overnight but it’s important you keep them warm and if possible help them feel secure. It will be a hard job because they’ll want their mother but do the best you can. It will help if you keep them in small area and with each other.
If you can put out a can of tuna and don’t have to go to bed it’s likely the mother cat will return sooner then the morning. If not the best you can do at this moment is to secure the kittens ensuring they are safe and warm.
It's very impressive that you have concerned yourself with the kittens at 14 it demonstrates empathy and unique maturity.

First: warm up the kittens - fill some plastic bottles with warm (not hot!!) water and put the bottles into their basket. Put your old sweater or smth like that in the basket. How do they behave? Meowing? Nervous?
If you think they are hungry - take 1/2 cow milk and add 1/2 water, warm a little bit and try to feed kittens from the plastic syringe (without a needle) or dropper.
Wait untill morning and, if mother-cat not return, call your local shelter and ask them, what to do. But keep seeking for your mother cat.
It's very strange, that she left her kittens...

The most important thing you can do is keep the kittens warm. At this stage they rely totally on their mother for warmth. Don't put them outside as the mother may cart them off during the night and you won't be able to find them. I would be surprised if she stayed away for long. Her instinct will be to care for her babies. However if she doesn't come back until morning the kittens should be fine if you keep them warm. They might not be happy but they will live.
Good luck.

Leave a box outside with an old bath towel inside so she can keep warm. And just wait till morning.
You could also try treats. Opening a tuna can or shaking a bag of kitty treats always works for my cat!! She comes running!

I'd try to find the momma cat. If you can't, wait up for a little longer...She's smart enough not to leave her kittens alone for long.

Place the kittens in a basket or box and set them outside the door, the Momma will come take care of them.

get some smelly cat food or sardines or tuna and tempt her back in the house. stay up until she comes back as she will probably not be gone long but you will have to be awake to let her back in when she comes around.
no the kits can not go all night without food or warmth. get the mom cat in and when the kits are weaned, please have her spayed and keep her inside. she will live so much longer and be healthier and happier.

poor toddler! nicely in the event that they are chilly and he or she's(the mummy) no longer paying any interest to them get slightly container and positioned them in it til your mom gets abode. She'll understand what to do. only be useful the different kitties have a blanket and the mummy has get entry to to water and nutrition. She's probably extraordinarily drained if she's been exterior.
