haha my kittens have never fallen in the toilet but my boyfriend just can't learn to leave the tolet seat down. Some men are harder to train then kittens are. Lmao I'm sure the kitty learned her lesson!!!!!

I have tried SO HARD to train my husband to keep the toilet seat down, but have discovered that it is almost impossible. I think once married a part of their brain switches off and they pick up bad habits even if they didn't have them before getting hitched. Thankfully my kitten hasn't managed to fall in just yet (though he has in the bath, with me in it. I don't think my legs will ever be the same again!) but it's only a matter of time and his natural curiousity will take him for a short dunk. I would advise laying off the toilet bleach for a while, until you either train the kitten not to go swimming, or the husband to put the seat down!

After MANY YEARS of trying to get my husband to put the toilet LID down, it took the accidental DROWNING of a puppy (in a drinking water bucket) to convince him how easy it is for an animal to get UPSIDE down in the water and drown!
So, when we started having kittens in the house, I REMINDED him of what COULD happen, and he started putting the lid down. Raised kittens for over 14 years, without a mishap due to a lid being left up.
I guess it just takes the SIGHT of a drowned animal, in a situation that could have been avoided, to TEACH a person how to be "responsible".
Good luck with your husband. I hope this never happens to you! You were lucky THIS time...........
