What object represents life?
I need an object/thing that could stand for life. (But something easy to find around the house, that does not have to be bought....)
Maybe a leaf?
What represents happiness?
Something I can take and put in a small brown bag..

A vulnerable seed that needs constant nurture struggling to reach for the skies to become a tree that depends solely on nature. This can--if not already--show the frailty and ephemerality of life. Everything is just brief and fragile. Add a little bit of your own thoughts to it, don't just use my words. Think about it. Ponder about it. Cook up a storm and think deep. And I mean DEEP. Think about the novel "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn," if you've read it already and if you haven't, what are you waiting for? Go read it! Hope I've been of help.
You could also use the firefly analogy. Watch the movie "Grave of the Fireflies" if you're interested.

water.
an object for happiness is more difficult. you'll need to find a deeper metaphor by first figuring out what you think happiness is and then something that represents those characteristics.
i find life is perhaps linked to it, family is a source of happiness, children, i find also accomplishment growing, improving, you get satisfaction from that.
so potentially a small plant growing might embody that. it kinda links nice with the water too.

If ever there is anything that totally represents LIFE, it is the "EGG"!

As for Happiness: a beautiful flower says it all. It brings joy. You know, that reminds me of a quote by Deepak Chopra:
"If you can't find God in a flower, you won't find Him in a book."

Hope that helps!

A Roller Coaster. It could go up or down, smooth or bumpy, and it has lots of twists. You don't know what comes next.
