My laptop can support 3Gb RAM and already have 1Gb RAM. Can I add 2Gb RAM? I afraid if my compter not run well?

Pentium Dual Core.

DDR2

Compaq presario C 795 TU.

Pirates Windows Vista Ultimate.

1Gb RAM already.

I mean I afraid if my laptop cannot work properly because it has unbalance RAM.

    Go to the following link, http://www.crucial.com/uk they can do an on line check which will determine which ram your motherboard supports. They will recommend the optimum amount. You can order on line and although they are not the cheapest it is worth paying for good ram. They guarantee compatibility with your motherboard and give an excellent warranty.They also give fitting instructions. I have used them many times and always been satisfied. Hope this helps.

    adding RAM is NEVER bad thing. If anything this will boost your computer's performance like crazy. Just make sure that you add the same type of ram that's in there. i think it is DDR2 but you will have to find out for sure. try http://www.memoryx.net/
