Does a Candidate's Education matter to you? ?

IT does to me, because it not only proves that the candidates went through a lot to secure knowledge (especially from respecte university) and went through a lot of hard work and are willing to stand up to extreme scrutiny of their work...It doesn't seem to me like a Woman who went to 4 different community colleges and graduated from Idaho with a journalism degree and then went on to put her small city in 22 million dollar debt and run a corrupt governorship should be one heartbeat away from the presidency...

here are our candidates educations

thoughts?

Obama:

Occidental College (Los Angeles) - 2 years studying Politics and Public Policy.

Columbia University (New York) - B.A. Political Science with a specialization in International Relations.

Harvard Law School - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna *** Laude, Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Law Review.

Biden:

University of Delaware - B.A. in History and a B.A. in Political Science.

Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)

McCain:

United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 of 899.

Palin:

Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester - Business Administration.

North Idaho College - 2 semesters - General Studies.

University of Idaho - 2 semesters - Journalism.

Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester.

University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism.

Update:

vincent, a harvard and syracuse and columbia education means extreme intelligence

Update 2:

RC dude, Bush was not well educated..Bush got into yale on connections and was a C student and then got rejected for TExas Law School..

OBama was teh PRESIDENT OF THE HARVARD LAW REVIEW

    Yes.

I'll take a brilliant mind that's been Harvard trained (Obama) any day over a man who got into the military academy because of his admiral daddy and granddaddy.

And no way would I ever want a VP who has a journalism degree. That's like asking someone with a physical education degree to be VP.

Abraham Lincoln is regarded by ability of maximum government as usa’s properly suited president, notwithstanding many others in that workplace had better coaching and adventure. For all of obama's training he has on no account incredibly practiced regulation for a substantial length of time, and his claims of being a professor of regulation have been debunked, as he grew to become into actual purely a senior lecturer on leave from Harvard. so what he actual took removed from that coaching is largely untested. Bush has a level from Harvard too . . . it did not seem to help him a lot. usa has purely ever had one PHD as a persident, Woodrow Wilson. Wilson grew to become right into a great president, yet regardless of Wilson's terrific efforts to reconcile the U. S. and Germany after WWI, the Treaty of Versailles, left the two the Germans and diverse people bitterly upset and he left workplace broken and defeated. Obama can't carry a candle to Wilson. No quantity of training can prepare you to be a frontrunner, leaders are born not made.

It goes without saying that education is extremely important when a candidate is running for the highest office in the nation. In addition to the Vice President should be of outstanding character and role model not only to US but the world. Caring for a family of five now 4 children is a big responsiblity and Palin should keep her job in Alaska.

This is a great point... Experience trumps education? Yeah big bad Mccain finished 894th out of 899th and got captured! I'm afraid I'm to the point where I don't have to even point out Sarah Palins flaws. I'm just going to say she's a good looking lady with a good looking daughter. Both her and Mr. McCain look like really nice people. I'd like to talk to them at a BBQ sometime, but I would never want either of them to run this country. It's not that they don't care (well at least McCain) It's just that they don't get it!

    They all are Educated.

I think it is funny how Senator Obama never talks about his time as a Lawyer handling those tough cases. Hmm I forgot he did what 1.

Millions of Americans go to Community College and that will bring them closer to Governor Palin then Senator Obama.

Why not Put Experience against Experience. Anyone can go to College but do they have the Experience to be VP or President. So why are you hiding Senator Obama behind a Degree? Cause he has no Experience to be President of the USA.

Governor Palin has Executive Experience something that the Three Men Don't have.

    The Governor Tops Senator Obama.

What kind...like a formal or a real life education.

Real life education is invaluable....a formal education is a piece of paper saying you perfomed to set guidelines....lots of folks have those. Oh, and I really do not trust lawyers.....

Of course education is important. If anyone says no then they must be freaking crazy. Why the hell would we want asomeone uneducated on the issues, someone uneducated about history to be running the country?? Yes, education is not necessary for all jobs but when you are running the free world??- Of course education is important!

yes, my candidate's education does matter to me because I really need to know that they are well educated to run a large nation. Incompetence can really lead to wars and I am not willing to take that chance with McCain. I really need my candidate to know the difference between Shi'ite' s and Sunnis.

Education is important, but that has to be coupled with intelligence. One with out the other is what we have at the present time, and we all know how that has turned out.

Wait! You forgot to put down Sarah's beauty pageant participation. That's a kind of education. Right?

And with Russian forces amassed on the boarder of Alaska, she must have picked up some Russian language skills.
