Is everybody in the financial services industry working their tails off right now?

Update:

I went out for lunch near Wall Street today, and it seemed like nobody was going to lunch. The streets weren't as crowded as usual. Additionally, I haven't heard from my gf, who works at a hedge fund, since Sunday night.
