1992 Toyota Pickup 5 speed manual wont go into Gear?

The clutch is hydraulic and the slave cylinder is working fine. The problem is that it still wont go into gear when it is running. It acts like the clutch is not disengaging to allow the transmission to go into gear. Any ideas?

hi...will it not go in in any gear at all or in just one particular gear?? i would double check the slave again for how far it pushes the clutch lever.. and if the push rod length is adjustable...sometimes air would develope in the system and may require bleeding. then also the tranny oil level.. some should drip out as you remove the plug if the oil level is correct.

You might have broken torsion springs in the clutch plate. This happened to a Honda Prelude that I had. Are you sure the slave cylinder is travelling enough? Maybe the clutch is just not releasing all the way. Good luck on that.

replace the clutch as it may be to worn to allow for shifting
