What is Utopia to you?

There are five basic elements to the most popular Utopia. These elements are:

Everlasting life;

All good and no evil;

All tangible and intangible needs and wants without any required effort to obtain them;

A perfect balance between the individual and society; and

Complete knowledge.

To sum it up ... A Utopia is a perfect place where nothing bad happens. Wouldn't we all love that? Everything perfect and flawless!

My idea of Utopia would be peace and unity throughout the world, good health and happiness for every living soul.

I think, as "Utopia" really means "nowhere", that, to be possible, it has to be more a bearing than a destination. The search for Utopia is the search for perfection, only that there seems to be a fashion of telling "perfection" is impossible or even would be bad and boring (this last thing is contradictory).

If we assume perfection is a bearing, like East and West and not a destination as North and South, we are able to reach "Utopia" when humanity gets "stable", meaning that mankind would no longer find problems, either because they were physically resolved (i.e.: an infinite source of energy was found), or because a reason was discovered that makes such problem irrelevant, or not a problem. Sure "death" would have to be resolved that way.

I imagine this situation most likely as society with no worries, where people would dedicate themselves to arts and science (if there is still something to investigate) and live cycled lives, like now, being born and dying, but without pain and with a guarantee somehow, that death will not mean losing what has been achieved.

Many people have their own views of what Utopia is ranging from everyone being happy and taken care of, to everyone living in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. From a world run by robots, to a world where humans are all dead for some reason or another.

It isn't mine. LOL! All that peace and harmony would make me restless. I seem to thrive on chaos. So in a way, my Utopia would be a place where I am intellectually challenged, and where I could find the answers to ANY question I ever had.

That's my idea of Utopia.

Utopia is a world with food and water, with no guns and swords. We live in a perfect climate, no hurricanes, no tornadoes, but rain, snow and sun.

Utopi is where everyone can approach anyone without fear or anger, no weird people inciting hatred, where true love is.

Utopia is never going to happen unless there is change.

for me a utopia is a society in which every body is allowed to live as he likes.(of course as long as he doesn't step on others toes).

in utopia the government doesn't campaign for a specific ideology rather guarantees the coexistence of different ideologies .

in utopia people are not egoistic and are concerned about other peoples lives and interests.

Utopia is when people want to get along with weapons, nuclearheads, tanks and machine guns, and rockets and missiles and gunships and huge submarines with ballistic missiles. Utopia is when people want to send food to Africa and save the African people from poverty when all they need is a decent job and pay. Utopia is when people eat McDonalds BigMac all the time and then want to lose weight, but never exercise. Utopia is when people dont do their homework and expect to get good grades and have knowledge. Utopia is that people want to feel safe, but they don buckle in the car. Utopia is when people think they know everything, just because they drink beer alot. Utopia is when a student who finishes school goes right back to school to teach with out anytrue real knowledge accept theory. Utopia is when people want freedom, but abuse it 24)7 all day round. Utopia is when people are fat since 12years, drink diet coke all the time and eat junk food, never exercise and expect to live healthy until 80 years of age. Utopia is when someone doesnt try to solve math problems and never does his homework and expects math to be easy to understand. Utopia is that Bush would say something meaningfull, not just plain political words or far fetch glory talks about "AMERICA" "USA" "PEACE" "FREEDOM" "JUSTICE", but just something humen and smart, like we did this and that and help them with this and help them with that and they will be happy about it.

Utopia is to achive big and unusual things by doing regular things just like everybody else in the crowd. Utopia is to be smart and never think about stuff. Utopia is to write notes about something you dont give s"it about and try to feel good about it by getting an A, because you just got rid of another unreal obstacle that never got you one inch closer to knowing something meaningfull. Utopia is to sit half of the day when you are most productive in school and watch the teacher explain something on the chalk board when you can use internet and get more info on the subject in 3,2 seconds with 1000000..... of results and learn and understand the samething in a 30 minute lecture that you would just give your self by read.

I say GWAR just because I'd love to be in school and see guys dressed like that just come into the classroom and start shredding. IT would be AWESOME. Even if they did suck.
