So would this be possible?

Ok. My friend and I were debating about this. Would it be possible to reconstruct a human conscience in a robot? Any side of the arguement is welcome.

I don't believe with today's technology that simulating human conscienceness in a robot is possible. Although you can program to know the difference between right and wrong and other moral codes that we hope humans live by and maybe even develop a sense of regret or sadness when they do something wrong but absolute conscienceness, not today

In as much as a human conscience is understood it would be possible to write a program (reconstruct) for it. Programmers are very close o being able to write a Program that can carry on a conversation so well that it can't be determined that it's just a computer. .
