I had a cat who sprayed for almost 2 years before I figured out how to stop him. I've tried all kinds of pet odor removers on every surface and fabric in my home...

Just wash your clothes and blankets in cold water with your usual detergent, but give it a second rinse. Wash it twice if there is a lot of pee. There's no need to use any pet odor remover additives to the laundry.

Things that can be thrown in the washing machine are the easiest to get cat pee out of. Hardwood floors are the hardest...

What you are smelling is the bacteria from the urine left in the material. Everytime you need to wash add a small amount of vinegar and wash on hottest temp. This will kill the bacteria and your clothes should come out just fine. If it still won't work -- give those kids some more water keep that urine clear and light LOL :o)

I don't think any product will eliminate cat urine odor, unless it has enzymes in it. My past experience has proven this. Add an enzyme product to your wash, and then when the clothes are dry, store them for a day or so in fresh kitty litter. This worked well on my shoes. You may have to wash the clothes again to get the litter dust out, but it should help eliminate the smell. You can also buy sprays with enzymes in them to spray the clothes with also.
