It has to do with Jail. When you go to jail they take your belt and as a result your pants sag. These kids are trying to look like jail hardened thugs. Totally stupid.

I wish I knew, but it's appalling. I saw a clip of Lil Wayne at the MTV awards, SO PATHETIC that people continue to support someone like that.

I was told it was something to do with loose fitting prison clothes and prison gangs. I feel embarrassed for them.

i think its just comfortable to some people, maybe for style, maybe just to be a "gangster" but honestly i do it to (not to far down though...thats when they get annoying lol) i do it because it kind of comfortable and for style honestly
