LAMBS AMONG WOLVES; WHICH ONE ARE YOU?

LAMBS AMONG WOLVES (Luke.10:3)

WHICH ONE ARE YOU?

We live in a wolf world, and in human terms the characteristics of wolves and lambs are the points of interest in the following commentary; and we do choose which we live by.

Wolves are driven by immorality; whereas lambs are driven by morality. Wolves live in dishonesty; whereas lambs live in integrity. Wolves follow selfishness; whereas lambs follow unselfishness. Wolves are adamant to do their own will; whereas lambs deny their own will. Wolves will not take the wrong and forgive; whereas lambs do take the wrong and forgive. Wolves demand their rights and will fight for them; whereas lambs give up their rights and surrender them. Wolves will confront and withstand mistreatment; whereas lambs do not confront nor withstand mistreatment. Wolves insist on being first of all and to be served by all; whereas lambs accept to be last of all and servant of all. Wolves are proud, competitive, reputable, and distinguished; whereas lambs are humble, unchallenging, of no reputation, and undistinguished. Wolves seek for gain in this world beyond need and devour when opportunity arises; whereas lambs seek for nothing beyond need and take advantage of no one. Wolves are difficult to hurt or victimize because they are so fierce; whereas lambs are easy prey because they are so timid. Wolves are hard to target for ridicule because they are so threatening; whereas lambs are again easy targets of ridicule because they are so non-threatening.

Final Point: Although the lambs are surrounded by wolves in this wolf world, yet they trust in their Shepherd; and where two or three lambs are gathered together in their Shepherd´s Name, there is the Shepherd in the midst. Likewise, although some wolves may try to pretend to be a lamb in sheep´s clothing, yet the Shepherd knows they are not His.

I consider myself a peaceful lamb. However, I can quickly become a wolf is my child's safety is in jeopardy. At times, we must stand up and fight for issues we find dear.

    Have a lovely day :)

    Dear Friend,

The Lord is "my" Shepherd. I was in the fold of 100 when I went astray. He rescued me from the wolves that were about to devour me.

I was quite independent and carefree. So, my Shepherd had to break my legs to keep me from running off and wandering again. He wrapped me around his strong neck. I lay there helpless as He tended the other sheep. Day after day, I heard His tender voice. I could smell the aroma of His clothes. I knew each step He took. I felt the warmth and security of being so close to Him. A peace I'd never known. I was safe!

Finally, the day came that my legs healed. He gently set me back down on my feet. I wobbled a little bit, but He kept me steady until I regained my balance. He then walked on to tend the other sheep. It was then that I realized how close we had become and that I needed to stay by His side for safety and comfort, a tender/sweet relationship. I love the sound of His voice. I love when He reaches down to touch my face. I love just knowing that no harm can come to me because I walk with my Shepherd now, close by His side and I wander ...no more.

Thank you Jesus that you find me worthy to be your lamb. Thou art worthy to be my Shepherd, and I shall not want...ever again. I have learned to become independently, dependent upon my Shepherd for everything. Amen.

Source(s): Hence my nickname, "lostnsavd." For I was once "lost" in sin and in danger of being devoured. But Jesus my Shepherd found me and "saved" me. I may be but a lamb, but He has taught me how to fight off the wolves and be a victor, not a victim. Or worse...LUNCH! hahahahaha

Your characterization of wolves is way off. Wolves are social creatures who live in packs where they care for the other members and work in cooperation. They are intelligent and form strong bonds. I would prefer to be likened to a wolf then a sheep which although I kept one as a pet and loved it was a really unintelligent creature.

Wolves are honorable predators, they take no more than they need for them and their loved ones, they work together in a community, and will sacrifice themselves so that the pack may live. Sheep however are stupid pathetic creatures unable to survive in the wild.

I am definitely, definitely, neither. I'm human, with all the advantages and disadvantages that brings.

In some points, I would be a wolf, and in others, I'd be a lamb.

Saying that, does that mean that if you do one of these things, does that make you a wolf?

And after that point, does that mean that every activist and protester is a wolf, since they all fight for their rights.

Neither. All is neither many nor few.

Above a servant is neither sort of servant:

    - Above a servant

    - Servants of righteousness

    - Servants of sin

No more children is neither sort of children:

    - Be no more children

    - Children of God

    - Children of the wicked

Us-ward is neither sort of them:

    - Us-ward

    - Them who believe and go on

    - Them who draw back to perdition

More Excellent is neither Broad nor Narrow:

    - More Excellent Way

    - Narrow Way

    - Broad Way
