Why are so many anti-feminists serial statistics abusers?
Whether it is arguing that women commit more abuse, or exam results, or scientific prizes, or how maternity affects work performance, or that traditional values result in higher income, you can rely on some anti feminist to produce a statistic.
Usually the statistics presented are based on accurate data, but any inspection of that data very quickly reveals that it fails to support the point the anti-feminist is making.
For example, women do commit more violent abuse to children than men, the statistics prove this, and the ones I have see do prove it. What the anti feminist fails to mention is that women provide many more hours in child care than men, so in fact, per hour of child care provided, men are roughly twice as likely to violently abuse as women.
It isn't a case of the statistics being wrong or meaningless, it is a case of the arguments made from the statistics being wrong or meaningless.

Anything for the soundbite. You know how few people actually take the time to look closely at statistics, so a simple remark is as good as a fact, for some people.
What annoys me is that anyone who then questions the factual basis for their comments is accused of justifying criminal or immoral behaviour. So it's neutral for them to use statistics to prove a point, but it's biased for me to use statistics to argue that point? Go figure :-)

Well I fear modern Feminism terribly but I've not raped nor killed anyone, however, this is inconsistent with the literature of modern Feminists. They contend that all men are rapists, so either I'm unaware of my serial tendencies to rape or modern Feminists are not of sound mind. What's even more interesting is that modern Feminists proudly proclaim that they own and operate clinics for the prophylactic castration, penectomy and pre-frontal lobotomy of young men. I find this horrifying. A pre-frontal lobotomy is a terribly simple procedure to do and even a modern Feminist could be trained in performing this very simple outpatient procedure in less than 45 minutes (this has been termed perhaps the most barbaric procedure that has been performed in medicine). Obviously, the medical community in the West has not performed this savage procedure in about a century. Modern Feminists still take great merriment at these clinics which they operate and brag about in public forums with impunity. If a man spoke this way about operating such clinics for the prophylactic irreversible mutilation of ladies, he'd be immediately taken into custody as there's nothing funny about mutilation of others. This is a yet another classic display of the inherent hypocrisy of modern Feminism.

I see no reason, why 'anti-feminists' should 'abuse' official statistics.
They just make their conclusions, same as feminists are doing.
Statistics can be seen in this way or in another way, often open for interpretation.
About your example regarding child mistreatment, it is a difference, if this statistic is per person or per hour of child-care/gender.
In case it is per person: Women are mistreating children more frequently than men, and the victim is more likely a boy than a girl.
I wonder, why this should be 'abusing of a crime statistics'?
Why should a statistic, which is counting the criminals regarding their gender be meaningless and wrong?
I do not know about any official crime statistic/calculation regarding child-care per hour/gender of the caretaker/child.
For sure, child mistreatment is not only existing from father to daughter, but also in considerable number from mother to son. This cannot be denied by feminists.

Anti-feminists aren't the only ones. Most feminists bring up stats that are more than a little biased-and wrong. I don't believe much of anything I read on this web site anymore when it comes to stats, because people will use anything to prove their own point.

80% of statistics are made up. =;o)
But seriously, that's what's wrong with statistics! They can be manipulated to support your point of view. You gave an excellent example of if you look on the peripheral of the statistics, you'll see one thing, but if you dig down, the statistics actually point to something else.
In part, it has more to do with the way the statistics were compiled, and have less to do with what the statistics are trying to point out.

With these statistics cropping up to not to discredit feminism but to make all mothers out to be child abusers, my thoughts are the anti-feminists are thinking "An eye for an eye"
Never had I ever believed that all men abuse, or that all men are responsible for all the wrong in this world, but in the same token, to have it thrust back at women/mothers in an innacurate manner, because of what a few radical feminists have said in the past is not going to bridge the gap between men and women.
Rather, it will create more resentment. I do believe that some women and some mothers do abuse, but to write up a question painting such a terrible picture of mothers is notgoing to go down well with me.

Why are so many feminists serial statistics abusers?
Honey your argument is perfectly true for both sides of the fence.

The ones producing the statistics are also doing it to prove some point right- so right from the start all statistics are basically flawed- everyone uses it for their own differing purposes

I agree, statistics often have an underlying cause. However, I do not think the use of these is "abuse". The person given the information needs to assess the information just as you have. The sad fact is that this is rarely done. Many simply choose to attack one who shares statistics which do not agree with their beliefs, rather than the statistics themselves.

I have a lot of respect for the scientific method which is why I started to lose faith in feminism in the first place. To say that anti-feminists abuse stats is like Hitler accusing the allied forces of violence.
Once again Twilight your question raises another question: are you interested in the truth or are you merely interested in striking a controversial pose?

You're right, we should stop using statistics altogether and start using a more accurate terms such as "so many". And while we're at it we'll throw around the word abuse to add further drama and validity to our claims.
