Obama pick, Warren Buffet for taking care of your dollars?
Obama can only pick Warren as Treasury sec to take care of your investment and working dollar. Warren is a person that like to make money for himself and uses other people to do it and Obama would put him in charge of the Treasury?
Bad answer Obama needs to get a clue.
Meg Whitman's last CEO job was with EBAY, her replacement in a few months has so far drive Ebay into the ground.
True, you must respect the "Buffet" a real success as a money man but he is an investor that makes success by tossing tons of money at a company that comes with terms that always favor him.

I think both candidates may have taken their heads out of the sand on this topic.
I could live with Buffet being the Secretary of Treasury.

not sure where you're coming from on that one. warren buffet would be a good choice ... surprising for some, but a good choice nonetheless. when you're serving the people, you don't get to make money for yourself on the people's time. i 100% believe mr. buffet would take the role seriously and be an enormously fiscally responsible treasury secretary.

To my recolection, McCain was the one who first threw out Warren Buffet, as well as several other names of people that he thought would be good choices for that position. Obama said Buffet would be a great choice and then went off on a tangent.

Warren Buffet has also given more of his money to charity than anyone else on the planet (well over 30 billion dollars). Are you actually implying that he's too greedy to be our secretary of the treasury?

definite. In previous interviews, Buffet has proposed elevating taxes on the "extremely-prosperous" (do a google seek). Obama, the Democrats, or perhaps Buffet himself have on the grounds that replaced this to those making greater beneficial than $250,000 (no longer precisely existence kinds of the prosperous and popular those days). there'll continuously be the excellent-prosperous (Buffet) and the insiders (Obama). they're going to easily squeeze out the top center type/decrease top type. Socialist societies have their elites and continuously will. Buffet's view is socialist.

They both seemed to say Buffet but actually McCain mentioned his name and just said he was a supporter of Obama. McCain mentioned someone called Meg Whitman. I don't know who she is. McCain mentioned trust is primary which I agree with. I don't trust Warren Buffet - he would be looking to make money. So somehow his expertise would have to be utilized without the ability of him making a dime. Tricky and all due to one very bad bill.

Yes he would be a good person but Mr. buffet is not going to take the job because it doesn't pay enough. He doesn't want to put up with all the hasle.
It probably be someone he doesn't want anyone to know about because if people found out the guy would not want to be associated with him and it probably be barney franks
Source(s): he just threw it out there nowing he would not take the job.it someone secrete and doesn't want anyone to know. - Anonymous1 decade ago

The point is, you need somebody with expertise in financial matters. Anyhow, both candidates named Buffet as a possible choice.
