Everyone wants instint gratification. Everyone wants it right now. They don't want to save. Instead they use their credit cards like it's free money.

Yes, there are people that overspend. But, sometimes there are financial crisis that can cause us to spend more than we have.Financial crisis such as a severe health problem, divorce or loss of a job can not only wipe out your savings but can also make it a challenge just to live day to day and meet your expenses.

Sometimes, people struggle with budgeting and they are not detailed oriented to balance their checkbook and know how much money they actually have.

Some people don't have parents who have given them a head start such as financial support and/or guidance. I know people from college that literally lived off of their credit cards. They did not see another choice because they could not work enough hours to pay all their expenses.

I also know people today who have absolutely no one that they can turn to during a financial crisis - no parents, no family members that can help them out because everyone in their families are struggling.

Don't just paint everyone with a broad brush when it comes to finances because you don't know that particular person's situation.

because they can. They do everything for show, materialistic reasons. They are not looking out for the future, but for a temporary high.

  • think of it as dreaming, you think that you can make up the difference before it cost you more than what the product is worth but...

Source(s): poor credit due to a divorce.
