With the Electoral College, does my vote count?
Doesn't the Electoral College remove the importance of voters? My state has been a "Blue" state for decades, so do the votes of the "Red" and "White" parties even matter?
Dolly has a point... CA is 55 votes.. but say hypothetically only 3 people vote, the candidate gets 55 points from that state, where as if the whole state of RI votes, the candidate only gets 1 point. That's pretty stupid in my opinion.

The E.C. is supposed to go by the popular vote of the people, so that means your vote is supposed to count--but look at states such as California. They have 55 electoral votes and people don't pay attention to them during an election year because they know they are going to turn blue no matter what.
I think, to be fair, that the E.C. should remain in place, but with some modifications. When the popular vote is counted, ONE elector from either side should vote, not 55 here 11 there, and 3 over there.

You would hope your vote matters, but if you know that your state is a blue state... then your electoral college votes will probably stay blue.
