Why were Adam and Eve embarrassed of their nakedness after they ate the fruit?

A baby will run outside naked and not be embarrased because he is innocent. Adam and Eve possessed this kind of innocence. They could not be ashamed because they did not know what shame was until they disobeyed God.

Edit: You are reading it litteraly. To eat means to partake. Jesus said, he had food to eat of that his apostles knew not. His food was to do the will of his Father, The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not the same kind of tree as the other trees of the garden. This was the tree of sex. Many people still feel dirty after having sex even if it's sanctified. Think how Adam and Eve must have felt. It's only speculation but perhaps God did not originally intend for them to procreate. He only tells them to be fruitful and multiply after banishing them from the garden.

It wasn't the fruit, my friend. It was the

"disobedience" of Adam and Eve. The Lord

told them to NOT eat of that one particular

tree. They minded the Devil, not the Lord.

Their eyes were open at that moment to sin

and that's when they recognized they were

naked. (had nothing to do with sex).

They had sinned, they went against Gods command and as a result they lost their innocence and purity causing them to realize their nakedness.

When Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God

They died spiritually immediately and they realised that they were naked

as they also lost their spiritual clothing

They were aware of it, after eating of the tree of knowledge. Prior to that, they did not care, that because they were in the image of God.

Once they became sinners, they were no longer in His image, which caused them to be aware of the difference.

Parable, sexual in nature, mouth...You disturb me. On too many levels.
