Does John McCain Keep His Campaign Promises?
John McCain promised that he would report the names of any pork belly spenders ... He would report all Senators or Congressmen that try to add their own special earmarked provisions on bills.
John McCain promised that he would make their names famous!
Now please consider that 70% of the Republican Senators and Congressmen first voted against the Bailout bill that John McCain said was absolutely necessary for Americas' economic survival.
Then the bailout passed six days later only after the deal was sweetened with earmarks for these recalcitrant Republican Senators and Congressmen.
So why hasn't John McCain reported these Senators and Congressmen like he promised he would?
Why hasn't he made their names famous like he said he would do?
John McCain also said that he would run a clean and above the board campaign with no attack ads.
If he wouldn't or can't keep his promises now why would anyone think that he would keep his word after the elections?
Opral and Drgeef.
Please don’t pull a “Sarah Palin” and talk about the question you wanted to instead of answering the question asked about McCain’s character.
The question is NOT are both parties guity of adding pork belly earmarks to bills.
The answer to that question is definitely YES!
Neither party has been completely innocent in pork belly earmarks.
This question asks if McCain should be responsible for a major campaign promise he made about outing these polititians be they Democrat or Republican.
McCain’s actual quote about pork belly spenders is
“I will make them famous and you will know their names.”
….. “In my administration there will be no more subsidies for special pleaders -- no more corporate welfare -- no more throwing around billions of dollars of the people's money on pet projects.”
Also McCain promised that “I'm going to keep fighting clean, I'm gonna keep fighting fair, and I'm gonna keep fighting the battle of ideas,"
"I want the Presidency in the best way, not on the worst way,".
McCain promised to stay away from any sleazeball ads and condem all lowlife kinds of Rove political attacks by his party.
But now he is desperate and sadly the quality of his personal integrity is sinking in unison with his poll numbers and falling popularity.

You realize John McCain is not the POTUS yet, right? And he has promised to VETO ALL earmarks that come across his desk. The bailout plan is vastly different than the junk programs that get millions of dollars from tax payers every day. The American people asked for it. Earmarks are presented to people whether they want them or not. And from a senator who has never, once, in his career accepted or voted for any earmarks, you better believe he will live up to that promise. His track record makes him believable on this end.
I don't recall him "promising" to deliver the names of anyone. I think he said that the people had a right to know. And all you have to do is Google it and you will find out who voted yea or nay on that bill in each state.
He said he wanted a clean campaign with no attack ads, he didn't say he wouldn't run them if something necessitated them. The "Still" ad from the Obama camp was the last straw. Gloves came off then.
I haven't heard him making any outrageous campaign promises. He's been a realist throughout this entire campaign. That's why some people don't like him. Obama, however, makes a campaign promise at least once a day.

in case you look back by using the heritage of presidential campaigns you'll locate that maximum applicants shop way below 0.5 their delivers--of route maximum of them promise something that's too obscure to benefit on or they promise to 'artwork with Congress' to do X, because X is something all of us opt for thus it truly is sturdy to assert to get elected, even with the undeniable fact that the actuality of doing X and the skill to get Congress to comply with a similar element purely isn't there. So the delivers are frequently purely issues that sound sturdy once you opt for to get elected yet aren't any further issues that could want to fairly be finished in our modern-day political equipment. As for McCain promising to deliver jobs to the ecu or increasing wars (and that i confess i have not heard a lot about any specifics from any of the applicants at the moment) no man or woman fairly has to vow to deliver jobs remote places--very wealthy companies like getting richer, so sending jobs to places that pay workers a lot less is an effortless thanks to get richer--word that when a business business enterprise strikes its centers remote places the fee of their products in no way is going down even even with the actuality that they are paying a small area of what they used to pay for exertions--all that extra funds now is going into their wallet. as long as different countries enable their workers to be paid almost no longer something and performance to artwork in risky circumstances there is not any preventing US organizations from shifting over there.

Whoa partner, before you get your butt in a ditther, think about what your just accused the Republicans of, then check back at the facts.
You will find that the Democraps are far more guilty of 'pork barrel spending" than any repub. And their famous for one Robert Byrd the largest pork barrel artist ever born.
This latest fiasco with the added pork is mostly, again, Democraps, and if McCain were to start to make his position known at this time, he would no doubt be accused of election mud slinging, as you're trying to do now.
And FYI, the Republicans are kown for keeping their word far more than the opposition party, and history will confirm this fact.

Well lets find out if he keeps them or not. Within 12 months of taking office as the President I think you will see those promises coming through.

You have no idea what conservatism is about. 70% of Conservatives voted against government intervention into private banking debts. The so-called sweeteners included the 66+ Democrats who voted against the first bailout. Please know thy enemy before opening your mouth.
