Opiod use, Restless legs, and Seroquel?
When I use medicines that cross the blood-brain barrier (such as Seroquel, Thorazine, or Haldol) I suffer from terrible, terrible restlessness in my legs and sometimes my arms. It gets so bad that I will pace around for about 6 hours, unable to sit for more than 30 seconds, until I can actually sleep. It always happened with the Haldol and Thorazine, bu I used Seroquel for months before it caused it.
A nurse told me that opiod use can intensify the effect of restlessness that a minority of people experience on these kind of drugs and that is why the seroquel now has this effect, as I am a former heroin addict.
I have not been able to find anything on the internet stating this correlation, so I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this.

I get the exact same thing that you are talking about. I have always considered it just RLS, however I also get it in my arms. This only happens when I am on certain medications such as Seroquel, tizanidine, Dramamine, mirtazapine, and a few others.
The only opioid I have ever used is hydrocodone, and I have never abused it. I actually had the RLS before I even used the hydrocodone.
