File Bankrupcy before suicide?
I am thinking of ending it all due to my debt. I am wondering, should I file for bankrupcy before I leave, so my spouse and estate dont get drained with my debt?

My suggestion is to file bankruptcy and live.
If you commit suicide, any life insurance policy will not pay out.
Also, it would be horrible for your family. They love you whether you're in debt or not. You'll cost them even more with funeral costs!
Filing bankruptcy will lift that black cloud that hangs over you.
I filed a long time ago. It was worth it. I rebuilt my life and you can too!

We had a friend who committed suicide to prevent bankruptcy.
Everyone knew he was in financial trouble. We never expected anything like that from him. It was very sad for everyone. It would have been easier on his family and loved ones if he would have just maned up and faced it. File Bankruptcy and Stay Alive.
Suicide is no option.
God wants you to come to heaven, but not before your time.
Get some counseling.
Talk to your family.
There are options you just can't see them because you are buried in your problems.

Your next of kin is responsible for your debt sometimes, bankruptcy doesn't necessarily help that ... especially if you file taxes together.
Oh yeah, and I guess I should tell you that offing yourself isn't really worth it, a lot of people will miss you... debt is just makes it hard sometimes. You'll make it though. I promise, I'm in the same boat... I don't want to kill myself but I have thought about faking my death...

Just for your info, it's the living that suffer the most after suicide. Just file bankruptcy. You won't be the first to do it. Then seek help for yourself and your family.

It's debt not cancer or something really important. Just call a bankruptcy attorney.

Please give up this idea. both filing bankruptcy and committing suicide are not solutions for your problem. try to survive from the present crisis. we all together can discuss the alternatives. certainly your friends relatives and this community have ideas to lead you. make an open discussion. if you can please mail me the situation in detail and to my friends answered to you here they are all top contributers. cheer up

Why not just try the "file for bankruptcy" part of your plan, without the "killing yourself" part of it?
