Do Republicans realize we ALL have to pay for Iraq?
Some of you are coyly talking about downsizing your life due to high taxes if Obama is elected. Who ELSE is supposed to pay for the $3 trillion bill for Iraq--your great-grandchildren? Under McCain, you may have to be paying for invading Iran as well. Will you send yourself, YOUR children, YOUR grandchildren to another useless war? I don't think congress will fall for the lies the next time.

After decades of arguing the virtues of Supply-Side-Economics and the “Trickle-Down Theory”, we have nothing to show for it but a ruin economy, a ruin infrastructure, an under-funded public education and health care system. PLEASE, let’s not forget Global Warming which President Bush has successfully suppressed any creditable scientific research data concerning the affects of climate change during the entire two terms of his administration to condone our dependency on oil.
America needs to change direction before it’s too late because we can't afford the McCain/Palin 100-year war. Our future holds a $10trillion National Debt to pay for ending the Cold War and two Mid-East wars; in essence, our national wealth has been use to fund a war mongering economy while waving the flag and praising God.
Fortunately, Barack Obama has inspired and motivatived so many people to participate in the political process this time that it will be virtually impossible to ignore their votes without causing a national upheaval. There is no chance of another rigged election like 2000 & 2004 because there are going to be massive demonstrations if that happens; mark my words, all the millions of Obama voters will be taking it to the streets. You will see solidarity in Americans like you have never seen before; it will be historic.
We have to stop the Republican insanity, and vote the hypocrites out of office. Republican rule is over!!!

Anna, I can understand your frustration because there are very real concerns over what amounts to sheer negligence on the part of the public and elected officials alike. You, like so many of us, are ignoring one of the most fundamental concepts of our economic system. Until we can all get these core ideas into our heads, we can never really figure out what the problems are let alone how to solve them.
Imagine we all start with nothing. We have no currency, no economic principals, nothing. Suddenly I am alone in charge of printing and making currency for everyone to use. When I make a dollar bill, out of pencil and paper with nothing to back it mind you, I loan it not give it to the people in charge of our country at a certain cost in interest. So if I make one dollar, I expect to get one dollar and lets say 15 cents back for it. Well how can anyone pay me that 15 cents extra if I am the one creating the money in the first place? The answer is I create more of it to give to you, once again under the same conditions. It is a reality that in this system, money is debt. The deficit will never be recovered even if we never spent another penny on anything at all. If we all paid every debt we had with every dollar out there we would still be short the money needed to pay the interest on the debt! There would not be a dollar out there and we would still be in debt...
The point of explaining this is because both Democrats and Republicans are either unwilling or incapable of changing this scenario. The Obamas will simply divert the tax income to funding more people first programs, while the McCains will continue to focus on trickle down rich people first contracts. Either way, our tax dollars will continue to pay for interest on an imaginary value created by the banks. The Government will still be lured into scenarios to borrow more money from the Federal printing press at interest, increasing another tax on us, this time called inflation.
When we no longer can take the stress, the clever ones who run the current banking system will offer us salvation in a new form of currency. Under the guise of reducing the debt, if not eliminating it outright, we will beg them for this new fix. All the while without ever realizing what caused the problem in the beginning and simply starting the process anew. Only at this point, we will be even more powerless since our real wealth in labor and goods have been leeched from under us for so long.
Congress is powerless. It is a fact that whoever owns and runs the money supply control everything else. Contrary to what we may think, we have absolutely no control over our own currency. Witout that, how can McCain or Obama really do anything at all indepenently of their money masters?

Apparently not.
Even though neither Obama or McCain's plan tackles the defecit. McCain's plan will leave us in a bigger financial hole. Just check out the tax policy centers analysis of the candidates plans.
It doesn't even take into account all the wars he'll start with his hot temper.
Warren Buffet agrees...the fiscally responsible choice is Barack Obama.

I totally agree. It is still not popular to disagree with the war- even after everything that has happened. That is why I'm proud Obama never cast a vote in favor of the war. To top it all off, it isn't about protecting Americans!

Sure. Add this to the excessive taxes Obama wants to charge you to expand his government, so he can set his arrogant butt on a golden thrown to oversee his kingdom, and you may be able to buy a bean each week.
Oh, and by the way, did you hear Obama wants to invade Pakistan? Did you also hear that he was dumb enough to suggest that NATO should handle Russia over the Georgia invasion? Now how dumb was that? Russia has NATO veto power.
We need someone in office who has foreign policy experience. The world keeps growing smaller, and Obama is not the man with the sense to keep us safe within it. Our enemies keep growing stronger, and we will have to spend more of our hard-earned money to survive in this environment. It's just a fact of life.
Our modern enemy does not respect weakness.

Facts are facts. The deficit is incredibly huge now, thanks to Iraq-- Bush outspent every single president in US history. So yes, somebody will eventually have to pay for it.

Do you realize the cost of an unstable middle east without our presence?
Do you GET that Iran is developing nuclear weapons?
Do you FATHOM that your car doesn't run on the HOT AIR you spout, and that a steady supply of oil from that region is, for the present necessary.
I've already done my service in that part of the world.
YOU?
NO TO OBAMA, the choice of our ENEMIES!

Yes, I'm certain that most conservatives realize that. But tell me, with Obama's proposed trillion dollar a year increases. Yes, TRILLION in increases, pray tell, how will our debt and his programs be paid for as well?
Government cutbacks in expenditures is the only way to stop the craziness, not increases!
