Awww Congrats! I wish I could get married all over again! lol My husband and I got married June 13, 2008. It was amazing, everyone gave me the same advice enjoy the day because it will go by so fast. I listened but I don't think I truly took their advice because before I knew it, it was over and now I keep wishing I could relive it! lol So just try to relax, eat breakfast, give your bridesmaids and groomsmen lists of their duties and time-lines this helped me so much! And just try to enjoy the day and realize it will be one of the best days of your whole life! Sooo exciting! Anyways good luck and having a wonderful wedding and a beautiful marriage!

Mine is in February. I'm getting more and more excited every day!

I think my best advice is to REALLY get it into your head that there is no such thing as a perfect wedding! There will always be something that does not go as planned, so don't try to plan every little detail to death or you'll just stress yourself out. And delegate, delegate, delegate! Of course, this requires letting go of the reins, so this is a tough one for a lot of people. But people want to help you, so let them!

And for the love of god, eat breakfast! You don;t want to faint while you're walking down the aisle! Plus all that champagne will hit you like a ton of bricks on an empty stomach.

  • Well I want to do 10-10-10 but that is in the middle of the week so I planned 08/09 but not set in stone yet! Still saving!

Good Luck and have fun! Its your day enjoy it!

My partner and I have been together 14 years, just this past October 9th. We have a beautiful 2 year old son. You know how excited you are about YOUR wedding...we had that same excitement on June 17th, 2008...the day that same-sex marriage became legal in California. What you are feeling is the same as we felt and every other couple wants to feel. I'm happy for you - we all deserve this kind of happiness. And I only hope that Californians will not try to discriminate against other couples like us when they vote on Prop 8 on November 4th.

Congratulations and may you have a long, loving marriage - just like ours. Let me know if you make it to 14 years. Peace.

Pi Day next year...lol! Didn't even think about it being Pi day until one of my students pointed it out. March 14 (as in 3.14 which is Pi in math)

Best advice is to not expect it all the be perfect - embrace the things that make your day special and try to relax as much as you can.

It was about two weeks ago. October 18th.

My only suggestion is to try to relax. Easier said than done. I was relaxed the whole day until we got to the church. Then I became a nervous wreck!
