    Think about it:

If no one voted, we'd have no new president. And if we did, then they wouldn't have been chosen by a democracy, which is our government.

    So EVERYONE'S vote counts.

It counts in a numerical sense. Like if you WERE to vote for Obama, but didn't and it came out a tie, U could have helped him win. Although, electoral votes are just as important like when Bush "won."

    Every state has electoral votes.

For example it could affect your state.

Let's say you live in Florida, like me. Florida has 27 electoral votes. (Presidents need 270 electoral votes). Well, you vote and Barack Obama wins by your vote.

All the 27 votes go for Barack Obama.

    Therefore, your vote just counted.

Bush's reelection was decided by 537 votes. Sure, your single vote might not count. But you have to remember that it's not just you deciding not to vote. It's thousands of people just like you deciding the same thing.

Taxes remove money from the economy, and move it to the government. Lowering taxes directly affects the economy in a positive way. The government does not produce anything of value, but rather is just a very large bureaucratic entity that redistributes wealth after taking their cut of the loot.

Sure it adds up, but what about the guys in the electoral college? They can vote any way they want.

It can't count on its own. Someone has to count for it. Some times recount

If you vote for obama, he gets one point.

If your aunt votes for obama, he gets another point.

If your friend votes for mccain, mccain gets a point.

If your teacher votes for mccain, mccain gets another point.

Whoever gets the most points wins. If you don't vote, that is one less point for a candidate.
