Is a mother obligated to give her life for the life of her child?

No. There is no obligation for a mother to give her life up for her child.
But,I don't know of any mother that wouldn't.

What a strange question. Am I obligated to give my life for my child I guess not, will I give my life not only for my children but for another child yes. Children are under our protection, we should be willing and even maybe obligated to give our lives for them. I know I would without a second thought give my life for my children. I would also give my life for another child if called up on to do so.
