Am I being paranoid about head lice?
My son's best friend's little sister was sent home from school today with lice. So far, his friend is lice-free, but am I being paranoid for treating my kids anyway? My stepdaughter had lice a few years ago and it was a nightmare.

It's ok to be a little bit cautious but as long as your prepared you don't have to fear as much

Ugh!! It is a nightmare!!I had it four times!!!
But see thats because people who wash their hair often get it because lice like clean hair to grab on too.
Well anyways I would arr on the side of caution because it
goes around fast. My friend was a teacher and she actually saw the lice jumping from head to head, I know gross. So no you not.
Good Luck! And eww!

nope. I am the same way too. After you do the who lice shampoo and cleaning, send the kids out of the house with slicked hair, use anything ,gel, hair products.... the more that is in there, the less change the lice can adhere to the hair.

Do not treat unless there is a reason too, lice shampoos contain pesticides, and you do not want this poured on your body unless there is a need. Teach the kids not to share head wear, brushes, and you will be Fine.

Yes, you are being paranoid. You shouldn't use those chemicals on your kids unless it is really essential. They won't kill something that isn't there.
If you want to do something, you could use tea tree oil or something, but using a lice treatment when it is unnecessary is really, in your words, paranoid.
