Is it time for the US to split into two nations?
It's pretty obvious we have two very polar divides in this country that can't wait to pick on each other's party in the most vile ways.
Are we really united any more or is that a facade?

It's more serious than just a divide. And we better act quickly.

What made (optimistically nevertheless makes) usa great is a pluralist, inclusive attitude. to evaluate heavily the assumption of a cut up potential the persons have genuinely long gone backwards by fact the time of the Founding Fathers. it is not any longer sturdy is it? If a rustic as great as usa ever gets to the factor the place they wanna break up, do no longer assume 'em to be so 'great' afterwards. Edit: in case you cut up usa in 2, subsequently isolating the religion-based & extra considerably conservative and the rational moderates and liberals, the latter could be a extra suited, agreeable place to stay. it may additionally get on extra suited with maximum different sovereign international locations. yet i will see the 1st usa invading the 2nd usa and doing what it variety of feels hell-bent on doing besides...killing everyone.

I think we are. Besides, if you try to divide the states up, well, the southeastern states and most of the mid-west voted for McCain, while the northeast and pacific states voted for Obama. I'd like to see how you can split up the country into 2 parts and still keep communication between the "Obama" states going. By the way, I'm in one of the Obama states, and there is a LOT of us who did NOT vote for Obama nor do we want to be in some Obama-happy country.

Politicogeographically? No. Would never work!
Split is not the word, we are FRAGMENTED more than ever now.
I think getting rid of "labels" is a good start. YOu can change some people's minds, but you can't change hearts.
I now live in The Fragmented States of America, and I have no man or woman at this point in time I can honestly address as Mr. or Ms. President.

No, I hope we don't.
However, the last time this happened it was because an entire group of people was being treated inhumanely.
Some people said "slaves aren't people!!" and some said "of course they are!! We cannot make them non-human because of somethign they can't help!!"
Sounds like the abortion issue. Some believe it is flat out murder, some believe they aren't human so it's ok. Some believe dependency upon the mother isn't a capital offense, some liken unborn to tumors, parasites, and clumps of cells, certainly not human and deserving of human rights.
Some slave owners said "it's my slave, my property, and I can do whatever I want to them." Some said, "no, they are a human being, not your property."
Sounds familiar?

I'm for it.
We seem to be drastically different and it's large enough for all of us to have a country. Left can go West with the Hollywood crew and Right can go East
I'm serious too. If I totally dislike what this country is becoming and stands for, I'd rather split.

Im in tx we can go anytime we want to and they cant say **** and no we are not united its the me genaration and instead of being north vs south its democrat vs republican we should split but i garuantee the republican part of the country would win

No, it;s not. It's time for the bitter partisan Republicans and Democrats to let go of their anger and bitterness against the other party and start working together to help our country out of this crisis we're in. It can be done.

So what you lose the election and now you want to take the your red states and go home. I don't think that worked out to well the last time now did it. But if you are that angry feel free to leave the country.

Are you serious? People have elections, that means more than one candidate, one winner, one or more losers.
It has worked that way for years.
We are all Americans. Remember all of the crap about the black candidate, that was hogwash too. We will vote for the candidate, not the color.
