It is all God's word, God breathed
It is inerrant
It is authoritative
It is worth dying for
One CANNOT pick and choose what you want to believe from it, it's ALL or nothing.
And contest is very important.
May God bless you as you study His Word

1) Is it all God's word/ God breathed?
It is the closest thing that we have to the inerrant, inspired word of God - which is *truly* only complete, inerrant and inspired in the autographs.
2) Is in inerrant?
No. Hand copying over the centuries and translation both result (necessarily!) in error. Still, modern, scholarly translations are the *closest thing* that we have to the inerrant word of God.
3) Should it be considered authoritative?
Yes. Again - it is the closest thing that we have to a truly authoritative text. Until a more authoritative text comes along, it is only sensible to treat the most authoritative text *as* authoritative.
4) Do you think you can pick and choose what you want to believe in it?
Those things that Scripture specifically permits us to "pick and choose" can be "picked and chosen". Those things *not* specifically designated as optional cannot be omitted.
5) Is context important?
Essential.
6) Is it worth dying for?
No book is worth dying for. However, my Christian faith is certainly worth dying for.
7) If so did some die in vein to preserve it or translate it?
Absolutely. Scripture itself addresses this: those who translated Scripture in defiance of the law were disobedient to the commandments of Scripture. Those who died in order to preserve Scripture, however, might be considered to have greater justification, as the loss of Scripture is not something addressed in Scripture, but the great importance of Scripture is made plain.
8) What do you think about the Bible?
The word of God - as close as we have, that is. We should all live according to the principles provided by the bible.

I believe it word for word and parable for parable. It's both literal and symbolic. If by worth dying for you mean Jesus then yes I'd die for Him. Didn't He die for us? If you really believe in an all powerful God than why should you deny that He can do or be anything... even human. And context is incredibly important. A lot of stories can stand alone but if you don't believe they wouldn't make sense. I don't believe God would send His own Son here and not have left documentation since he wants us to spread the word. His brothers James, Jude, and apostles did an amazing job recording his short 30 years here. So either you believe in the Bible or you're making your own. It's all or nothing. Most of this world is based off of things we can't even see... trust, love, faith, honor, good, evil...
I'm confused about your question on the preservation and translation. To me they are the same thing. The Bible isn't being interpreted but translated. I'm sure many have died to spread the word. A lot of the New Testament was written from jail by Paul. You should read the book Jesus Freaks if you're interested in modern Martyrs. Even during something as horrible as Columbine people were killed standing for their beliefs.
Just think... if it wasn't for the Christians that laid out the laws for America you wouldn't even be allowed to ask these questions without being thrown into jail.
When Jesus came He changed the world through Grace and he said, "love is the fulfillment of all commandments". I think that sounds pretty reasonable... and to love anyone you have to have a relationship. What better way to get to know God than the Bible? If you were dating wouldn't you want to get to know the person better because you love them and want to know how to love them better?
Sorry, I'm not very good at summing up something so huge. Good luck in your research and God Bless You. I hope you find Him:)

It is the inspired word of God. That is why bible commentaries will name the author or the person believed to have authored the book. These people fell under the guidance of god and wrote according to his inspiration.
It is inerrant, although there is room for debate of what it is actually saying. The best way to know what it is saying is by reading the bible repeatedly and prayerfully. god will reveal the combination of events that lead to it's true meaning. He will reveal this directly to the faithful and prayerful reader.
It is authoritative.
I do not think you can pick and choose, however as stated before, God will reveal the truth to you. You can pick and choose what you will follow. If you interpret it a certain way, the best thing to do is ask God to show you if that interpretation is correct. Also if you are sinning as a result of your understanding, that he would reveal that sin to you. We all sin at times. If you are defying the word, be sure to reveal your sin to God and ask for a heart for change.
Context is important. It is very easy to take a line of scripture an misuse it. i think this is done frequently.
Yes. The word of God is worth dying for, however this seldom happens in this day and age. I believe that some died in vane, although I cannot quote specifics.
I think the bible is amazing. God speaks to me though the bible. He answers my prayers and guides me.
God Bless.

The bible was inspired by god, meaning that the general Ideas are supposedly infallible, not every specific detail.
No it is not inerrant in my opinion
No, i do not consider it authoritative
Yes, there are many religions in the world, all are equally important
Context is very important
No
Yes in my opinion people did
I am at a point in my life where I don't know what to believe, i was raised as a christian, but as I get older, i find it harder and harder to believe in something i can't see or understand. At this point I would consider myself borderline agnostic

God's written word. God inspired it, man wrote it. No errors. God's Holy Spirit directed all writings within the bible. You CANNOT pick and choose what is right. It's either all right or it's wrong. Nothing in between. The bible is God's Holy Word - it's God's history...get it? HisStory? It's truth! It's life!

I believe the original was inspired and perfect. I don't think we can say the same of all the translations, but most of them are reliable enough to depend on for salvation. The spiritual truths have not been lost.
I also think the Bible should be understood in the context of the time and place when it was written.

If you want just to find fun for a while you don't read Bible.
Bible is for those who want to know God's message and salvation. And only God's Spirit can lead the person to understand it.
