Will you share one of you favorite Bible verses?

I love all of God's word, but I would like to know if you would be willing to share a favorite Bible verse or one that has meant a lot to you lately?

Here is one of mine:

Jeremiah 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Thank you for reading this question and thanks for all that answer it sincerely. ~ andrew

    Mine is also in Jeremiah, but chapter 33 verse 3:

    Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

    of course this is just one of many!! But it's been very helpful lately in my life.

    Your welcome!

    Just one! There are soooo many good ones. Of course they shouldn't be taken out of context. Whether faced with a sin that keeps coming back to haunt me, taking someone to the Lord in prayer, or dealing with the many emotional issues I'll have to face when I start counseling victims, these three verses are going to be very comforting.

    2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

    Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

    1 John 4:4 Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.

    I was deeply troubled in the middle of the night last night. God gave me Psalm 91:

    1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

    2 I will say [b] of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,

    my God, in whom I trust."

    3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare

    and from the deadly pestilence.

    4 He will cover you with his feathers,

    and under his wings you will find refuge;

    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

    5 You will not fear the terror of night,

    nor the arrow that flies by day,

    6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,

    nor the plague that destroys at midday.

    7 A thousand may fall at your side,

    ten thousand at your right hand,

    but it will not come near you.

    8 You will only observe with your eyes

    and see the punishment of the wicked.

    9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—

    even the LORD, who is my refuge-

    10 then no harm will befall you,

    no disaster will come near your tent.

    11 For he will command his angels concerning you

    to guard you in all your ways;

    12 they will lift you up in their hands,

    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

    13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;

    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

    14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;

    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

    15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;

    I will be with him in trouble,

    I will deliver him and honor him.

    16 With long life will I satisfy him

    and show him my salvation."

    Hebrews 12:2 "Do not conform anylonger to the pattern of this world, but be transformed in the renewing of your mind so you'll be able to test and approve what God's will is; his good,pleasing, and perfect will."

    that was my confirmation verse. I love it and it will travel with me throughout my lifetime because it totally relates to me.

    Psalms 55:22 "Cast your cares on the LORD

    and he will sustain you;

    he will never let the righteous fall."

    I think of this verse whenever i think that i'm in too deep. Then God reminds me that he never gives us more than we can handle, and also that he has a reason for all that he does, and i just have to trust him.

    Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen.

    John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

    Psalm 121:1-2 I lift my eyes up to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

    Thank you so so much for answering my question, I can't tell you enough how much you have already helped me. God bless you!

    St. Matthew chapter 28, verse 19, because it mentions all Persons Of the Blessed Trinity.

    It is not a verse but an entire chapter. This scripture always puts things into perspective for me, especially when i am faced with difficult situation that involves conflcits with other people. I have been reminded who i am and what is expected of me by my Father so many times. I thank Him for so many wonderful things He has began and will accomplish in my life.

    1 Corinthians 13

    1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

    2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

    3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

    4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

    5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

    6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

    7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

    8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

    9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

    10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

    11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

    12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

    13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

    Do you not know?

    Have you not heard?

    The Lord is the everlasting God,

    the Creator of the ends of the earth.

    He will not grow tired or weary,

    and his understanding no one can fathom.

    He gives strength to the weary

    and increases the power of the weak.

    even youths grow tired and weary,

    and young men stumble and fall;

    but those who hope in the Lord

    will renew their strength.

    They will soar on wings like eagles;

    they will run and not grow weary,

    they will walk and not be faint.

    Isaiah 40:28

    John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD". This is my favorite verse, because Jesus told us we would experience hard times, but because He overcame everything we will ever face in this life, we can have peace while the storms are raging around us. God bless you!!!
