Getting old sweat stains out of a white t-shirt?

I've got a few white t-shirts with some year old sweat stains. I tried soaking them in vinegar before washing with bleach but it didn't help.

Any other suggestions?

If the stains are a year old or older then you might try using some

sudsy ammonia, let sit for about 15 minutes, and launder as usual.

Don't put them in the dryer. That sets the stains. I would wash them and put them out in the sunlight. The more sun the better. Sunshine is a natural bleach.

if the sweat stains have been in there for a year then the Only advise there is you need to get rid of them because the stain is set in and well not come out no matter what you do

You have to treat those the same day. Sweat stained shirts are pretty much for the garbage can now. Buy new ones and take care of those the same day they are stained.

If they have been washed and dried in heat, you're out of luck.

If not, soak them in ammonia and water. (Put them in a bucket in the garage overnight). Run them through the wash again, cold water NO BLEACH. Hopefully this will work.

Try water, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in a 1:1:1 ratio.
